Not all written in this book are agreeable but still it is a worth reading after all. As taken from the back cover ~this book is an efforts to takes a close look at how far the Malays as a race have come after 5000 years of civilisational history.~

Published at year 1999, many current issue are not covered (or foreseen) - have to admit many issue played currently is recycle. Nowadays Malays facing many other challenges that cost the race pride and ummah unity.

This book claimed Malays mindset is in a circle of  Ad-din and culture embrace. Unfortunate now Islam and Malays is separated by political power. Malays was asked to choose between Islam or being Malay. If Islam you are Pas and UMNO supporter accused for neglecting Islam thought and pursue  for Malay survival alone!

I afraid if this thinking pattern continues, Malays will lose their political power in Malaysia. With low attainment in economic and education, their will fall far behind the non Malays. Will Malays lose another piece of Malay land in South East Asia like Singapore Island to Chinese? or Champa Kingdom to Viet and Khmer clan (now better known as Vietnam and Kampuchea/Kemboja)? or Pattani to Siamnese?

Do we not learn anything from history? The Malays in said area remain there but they were suppressed at every turn. The last fortresses of Malays kingdom is Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, but how long we can endure?
